Low Inertia Offset Hybrid Dyno\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Cummins Tech Center, Charleston, NC\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The Cummins tech center in Charleston, NC required expanded capabilities for engine testing. A dyno was required with minimal inertia to allow for low speed and varying test cycles while still allowing peak power test capability. A 100 hp AC motor was used to counteract the large inertial forces of the eddy current dyno, while allowing continued use of the eddy current dyno\u2019s large power absorption capacity.
